What is Smart Parking Recording

This safety feature prevents heat-related damage by automatically switching the U3000 or Q1000 Dash Cam to a low-power mode if the temperature inside the vehicle gets too high during Parking mode.

In this mode, the dash cam records incidents triggered by impacts only until the dash cam's operating temperature is low enough to resume Motion Detection or Timelapse Parking mode.

Compatible Dash cams

  • U3000
  • Q1000

How does the Smart Parking Recording work?

When the temperature inside the vehicle exceeds 65°C during parking mode, the Dash Cam switches to Smart Parking Mode.

In Smart Parking Mode the Dash Cam will only record impacts detected to the vehicle (records a 20-second video immediately after an impact has been detected).

After the temperature cools down to 55°C and below, the Dash Cam will switch back to normal Motion or Timelapse Parking Mode.

Disclaimer

  • Smart Parking Mode can only be enabled when using the Motion and Timelapse Parking Modes.

How to Enable Smart Parking Recording

1. Connect to the Dash Cam via Bluetooth with the Thinkware Dashcam Link App.

2. Select Dash Cam Settings > Record Settings

3. Under the Smart Parking Mode option, select "enabled".

4. To complete your modifications, tap the back arrow located in the top-left corner.

Note: The settings vary depending on the dash cam model
