Resolution
The U1000 and Q1000 Front Camera have two options for the resolution they can record at.
Resolution Options
Dash Cam Model | Option 1 | Option 2 |
U1000 |
Front: 4K UHD 30 fps Rear: 2K QHD 30 fps |
Front: 2K QHD 60 fps Rear: 2K QHD 30 fps |
Q1000 |
Front: 2K QHD 30 fps Rear: 2K QHD 30 fps |
Front: 1080P FHD 60 fps Rear: 1080P FHD 30 fps |
Why are more frames per second beneficial?
By selecting the Resolution of 60 fps rather than 30 fps will result in smoother-looking footage.
Recording at a Higher FPS is best for capturing details when in motion, as well as combating Motion Blur.
What resolution should I use?
Ultimately, the choice of resolution is up to you.
If you are using the Dash Cam primarily for capturing vandals, or incidents while away, the higher resolution may be right for you.
However, if you are looking for a smooth video for capturing details while in motion, a higher fps would be best.
We recommend testing both of the options in your vehicle, to determine what your preference is.
