What is the Record Timer?
The Record Timer feature is designed to automatically turn off the dashcam after a period of time to prevent potential car battery drainage.
Typically the Battery Protection Feature (Voltage Cut Off) will power down the Dash Cam faster than the Record Timer. Depending on the model of Dash Cam, the Record Timer can be disabled (e.g: U1000)
*Please note that if the Voltage Cut Off is also disabled (Battery Protection Setting), the Dash Cam will run until the battery is drained.
*It is recommended to disable the Record Timer when using the iVolt Battery Pack as a source of power.
How to Enable/Disable the Record Timer
1) Connect to the Dashcam via WiFi or Hotspot
2) Select Dash Cam Settings > Record Settings
3) Ensure you have enabled the Parking Mode Settings.
