Enabling the RADAR on the U1000/X1000
The Standard Energy Savings Mode 2.0 on the U1000 and X1000 records 1 second after the impact up to 20 seconds after. By adding the RADAR Accessory the dashcam is able to give you the full before and after.
The Energy Saving Mode 2.0 Parking Mode paired with the RADAR Module Accessory, is able to record 10 seconds before to 10 seconds after an impact, while drawing less power than our typical Motion Detection and TimeLapse Modes.
The RADAR Accessory is recommended for U1000 or X1000 users who leave their vehicles for an extended amount of time regularly. Users also looking to eliminate false impacts and motion clips also benefit from the RADAR Module.
**Due to the Energy Saving Nature of this Parking Mode Cloud Features are disabled in this Parking Mode.
How does the RADAR Module work?
By using LiDar the RADAR Module will detect a sedan or larger sized object moving near your parked vehicle and will begin recording. If no impact is detected then the video clip will be deleted. If an impact is detected, the video is saved with 10 seconds of footage before the impact and 10 seconds after (20-second clip).
How to Disable/Enable the RADAR Module
- Connect to the Dashcam via WiFi or Hotspot
- Select Dash Cam Settings-> Record Settings
- Scroll down to RADAR and select "Enabled" or "Disabled" depending on your preference.
- Click the back arrow in the top-left to finalize your changes.
For the X1000, simply press the Menu button on the Dash Cam, select Settings > Record Settings > Radar
***Requires RADAR Module Accessory (sold separately) and the Energy Savings Mode to be ON (Parking Mode)
*RADAR CANNOT BE USED WITH TIMELAPSE OR MOTION DETECTION PARKING MODES
